Crafting Communications

Point of View = Problem + Approach + People

Point of View = inquiry-driven, peer-led, needs-based learning

Overall, ProjectsNMotion will follow a Peer-led Team Learning model as outlined at Washington University in St. Louis

https://circle.wustl.edu/projects/peer-led-team-learning/

The workbook college students will use to develop their PBL workshops is https://www.bie.org/object/books_others/pbl_starter_kit_2nd_ed

The complete inquiry-driven learning model for high school students, from freshmen to graduating seniors, will look like this.

Problem = Lack of emotional and social support for students to invest in and pursue their academic interests

People = Teachers, local businesses and corporations, parents (need to invest in their children's education)

Specific – Tiny Home Villiage.

Spring 2019

In the Spring semester of 2019, the UNM School of Architecture and Planning and UNM Community and Regional Planning departments train 15 college students in peer-led PBL workshops on topics built upon the Tiny Home Villiage

Measurable – PNM Student Profiles. Increased college and high school student enrollment in PNM workshops. Community support and audience participation at local events that showcase students' work.

Attainable – Establish working relationships with schools and community businesses and corporations to provide academic support for high school students that open possibilities for internships. Establish the PNM PLTL workshops (as a grant-funded operation. Providing ongoing employment for UNM students).

Establish UNM Work Study and CNM Service Learning

Hi Robert

Honestly, all I want is to focus on this grant below and prepare to apply for it with the programs we start and run successfully with the Leadership Schools Network http://leadershiphsn.org/. I think starting small, writing grants for our programs, one school at a time, to achieve the programming goals outlined in this grant, is the direction I would like to take PNM - ProjectsNMotion.

Let's ask them what they did to do this work. What did they practice in school?

Would other students who become proficient in that field possibility like building those products too?

I don't know. Let's ask.
